Hexarelin (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide)

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide and a member of the growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) family. Its sequence is His-D-2-methyl-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, it carries CAS number 140703-51-1, and its molecular formula is C47H58N12O6 with a molecular weight of 887.0 g/mol.

Like other GHRPs, hexarelin is studied as a secretagogue, a compound that prompts growth hormone release through the ghrelin receptor rather than the GHRH receptor. It is supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory reconstitution.
